As you may have noticed ... I really really really like fall. So just in keeping with the fall theme (also the inspiration for the new bloggy look) here is one of my favourite pictures of Liam lately.
Happy Thanksgiving my fellow Canadians. Yesterday we celebrated all that we are thankful for ... and we have very very very many things to be thankful for this year. (not that we didn't last year, or the year before for that matter) For us, Thanksgiving is a holiday that is spent with family and friends, enjoying cooler weather, going for walks and playing in leaves. Not to mention all the deliciousness that is cooked up. This year it was our turn to host and we decided to try something new. (just 'cuz we're crazy like that) Instead of a traditional turkey we tried out our first Turducken! Turk-what? Turducken. Take one turkey, stuff it with one chicken that is stuffed with one duck, and in between each is a layer of apple stuffing. I was pretty impressed, but .... it still doesn't compare to regular ol' turkey. However it was worth a shot and lets be honest ... it was totally delicious!! Not to mention all the other food that made it's way onto our bountiful table. Thanks to our friends and family for creating and sharing a fantastic meal. You're one of the many reasons we have to be thankful.
Fun was had by all, and we kept the festivities going into the night.
Last weekend we went for our family photo shoot. Family pictures were never something I really did when I was growing up. I think this is why I'm so obsessed with doing them now. We met our photography, Rosie, in Bowness Park and apparently we chose the best weekend to go! All the leaves finally turned the week before. It just felt so darn fall-ish. Here's a "snapshot" of our photos. They all turned out amazing. Thanks Rosie!!
hi! i'm MJ and just wanna say thanks for stopping by and checking us out. living the dream started out as a place to write down the milestones and musings about life as we turned into parents. now it's more like a place to write about all of the pieces that make up our little life. stay awhile and have a read.
