time for a 30 for 30 remix

Well, I feel that it's time to re-enter my closet...instead of a shopping mall.  I am fitting in my pre-preggo wardrobe (thank the lord) and this closet intervention remix couldn't come at a better time.  This will be my first 30 for 30 remix.  If you're unfamiliar with the 30 for 30 challenge check it out HERE at Kendi Everyday.

Kendi is starting on the 13th, but seeing as we are leaving for vacation next week I thought I'd start mine on Monday (to help with the packing of course).  There will absolutely be an up coming picks to remix post this weekend.

Happy Weekend to all!!

 {dinner party ideas}

So I have a new favourite obsession...pinterest.  You know all those pages you rip out of magazines; outfits you like, rooms you long to be in, the perfect bathroom, places you want to travel.  For those not in the know, pinterest is a  digital way of cataloging images that provide you with inspiration.  I was immediately hooked.  I'm one who is constantly ripping pages out of magazines and storing them in the bottom of my nightstand and then never looking at them again because they're a mess.  Finding pretty things I love, a new recipe to try, some diy stuff,  decorating our backyard for a dinner party and beautifying the home, thanks for my inspiration pinterest.

mares eat oats and does eat oats

I have developed a relationship with my oatmeal.  We spend at least one breakfast a week together, sometimes more.  I don't know what it is?  I was never a huge fan of oatmeal...sorry quaker.  But since a far away friend of mine made this for breakfast when we were visiting last November, I can't have it enough.  It's perfect for cool days when you just want to feel cozy in the morning.  And it's super easy to make.

1/2 cup each water and milk (I use soy)
1/2 cup oatmeal (a blend is great)
1 tbps(ish) of brown sugar or maple syrup
dash cinnamon
some shredded coconut, sweetened or not they're both good here

~ combine water, milk, sugar & cinnamon in pot and bring to a boil
~ add oatmeal
~  add coconut, as is or toast it in a frying pan before adding it, add as much as you want.
~ cook oatmeal until all the liquid is gone

mmmmm

of course Liam was a huge help in the kitchen too.
