you say it's your birthday?

Me too...well actually it was yesterday.  I turned the wise age of 32.  It wasn't a particularly scary birthday, then again neither was 30.  I have to say, I am enjoying the 30's.  Apparently it is the new 20.  Not sure about that one...my 20's were a little crazy and I don't think that I need a repeat.  Been there, done that.  But the 30's are pretty darn awesome.  I had a great day hanging out with Liam.  And I even got the night off to get a birthday pedicure and sushi with a couple of my favourite girls (thanks husband...best birthday present ever).   The birthday festivities continue tonight with a dinner in my honour at my mom's and finish off on Friday night with a bash at our place.  Woo hoo for a three day birthday!  How did I get so lucky?

viva quebec

Okay...so a quick confession.  I have been neglecting my blog.  What can I say, it is gorgeous outside and I would rather play with Liam than sit at my computer.  As I said in an earlier post, good momma = bad blogger.  Now that's outta' the way, on with another vacation post.  Viva Quebec!

After a weekend in Montreal we hopped on via rail for a 3 hour trail ride to Quebec City.  Ummmmm can I just say how much I love travelling by train.  It's so calm...no security personnel on a power trip, people aren't rushed, it was actually pleasant.  Train is the only way to go.  We spent four days exploring old Quebec City, even saw where the first European building in Canada was built...by Champlain.  What a beautiful city.  It reminded me a lot of France.  Careful...this post has a few photos.

friday's five ~ raise a glass

Today's f's 5 is a gooder.  It's my thanks and appreciation to all you fabulous people that follow and peek in on our little family.  I never really know if anyone is reading.  My stats say they are (come on...you know you check yours too).  I hope you enjoy the crazy fun happiness that is our life.  F's 5 this week is all about saying a big 'ol thanks to you all.
